If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, burned out, stuck, out of sorts, or “off,” please hear this:

There is nothing wrong with you.

You are not broken.

You do not need to be “fixed.”

You’re simply disconnected from yourself — and that happens to women all the time. I often speak with women who have no energy, feel down or restless, yet according to everyone else, they "have it all". These are women who have abandoned their purpose.

So many women ask me, “Beth, how do I know what my purpose is?”

And here’s what I tell them every time:

You’ve always known your purpose. You came to earth knowing it.

You’ve just forgotten.

Life has a way of burying our clarity under obligations, expectations, and everybody else’s needs. When you’ve been in survival mode for years, that inner knowing gets quiet.

Exhaustion makes it nearly impossible to remember the things that used to bring you joy. Some women can’t even remember what they enjoyed as children.

So if you are having trouble tuning into what lights you up inside, let’s start with something simpler and surprisingly powerful.

Start by making a list of things that you never want to do again.

If your mind goes blank when someone asks, “What do you love?” then try this instead:

Make a list of everything you never want to do again.

Don’t overthink it. Start with something that rings true to you right now:

  • I never want to overbook my schedule.

  • I never want to say yes when my whole body says no.

  • I never want to tolerate disrespect.

  • I never want to hustle for someone else’s approval.

  • I never want to lose myself to caregiving.

  • I never want to leave the house again, and have to go back and get the things I forgot.

Write down as many things as you can think of. Take as long as you need.

This list is now your map.

Once you remove what drains your power, what remains will point you back to who you naturally are.

Now, it will be easier to focus on the things you want.

After you’ve cleared the “never again” list, make another list, this time of all the things you've been missing and want to experience:

  • Things you want to learn

  • Places you want to visit

  • People you want to spend time with

  • Creative projects you want to explore

  • Adventures or quiet moments your soul has been craving

Write as if anything is possible.

Because it is.

Here's the part that actually changes your life

Don’t let the list sit in a notebook.

Pick one small step from your desire list and put it on your calendar.

Not someday.

Not “when things slow down.”

Not “after I take care of everything else.”

Now.

A walk outside.

A pottery class.

A phone call with someone who energizes you.

An hour to yourself with no responsibilities.

A new idea you’re finally ready to explore.

Love, your purpose doesn’t drop from the sky.

Purpose returns to you when you return to yourself.

Remembering your purpose doesn't require a sabbatical, another certification, an intensive session with a coach, or a massive reinvention.

Nope. You just need the next small aligned step.

Your funk lifts the moment you choose yourself.

That’s how you remember who you are.

That’s how you reconnect with your purpose.

That’s how you fix the funk.

It’s not magic — it’s choosing YOU again.

I can't wait to see what you create now.
